Anneliese Rooney

Anneliese grew up as athlete, participating in figure skating competitions since the age of 7. As she transitioned out of the world of competition and into college (more competition), she found life to be just as stressful and challenging. So she took a chance and tried out yoga in order to find a little peace in her hectic life. Anneliese took to yoga immediately as she felt that practicing yoga had the same sense of grace, fluidity, and rhythm that drew her to the ice as a child. Vinyasa yoga is the style she most prefers as it seems to speak to her soul and helps her find meditation in motion.

While Anneliese loved the movements and strength of the physical yoga practice, it was not until much later, that she began to realize that yoga is really a way of life, a guide for life, and a spiritual practice.

When you come to Anneliese’s class, you can expect to move through dynamic asanas which are rooted in the fundamentals of the Vinyasa Style. She guides her students on their spiritual path with inspirational openings, centering postures and flows, encouraging yogis to practice at their own pace. She incorporates pearls of yogic wisdom throughout, which foster her students’ curiosity to develop their own practice from a deep sense of self. Already guiding 1st graders into life with peace and love, Anneliese’s yoga classes reflect the nature of her true passion in life, which is to teach.
